Chrysalis in the Community

Everything begins with the people around you

At Chrysalis archaeology, working alongside the public is paramount. Because history is all around us, Chrysalis has taken a special interest in community and educational programming. In 2014 Alyssa worked with the Brooklyn Historical Society to create a curriculum for the Dutch Brooklyn Educational Project where her expertise allowed local children to learn about the history of the first Brooklyn settlers as well as the work of an urban archaeologist. Chrysalis has also partnered with the Vander Ende-Onder Donk House of Ridgewood, Queens for school programing and public archaeological projects. Additionally Chrysalis has helped develop curriculums for several historical societies and local schools.
